I ended up editing the registry, and searched for and removed old files manualy. Then I read the instructions on the grisoft website. AVG Clear is provided by AVG and is the last resort to use if you have a problem removing your current AVG, whether it's a failed repair, reinstall or complete removal. Then install.ĭid the same myself, uninstalled the old version then tried to do a fresh install. AVG Clear completely deletes everything from your current AVG installation, including registry items, installation files, user files, etc. If this dos'nt work then you will have to edit the registry and remove any reference to AVG and Grisoft, also search for any AVG files and remove them. Click "Next >" on the AVG "Welcome!" screen.Run the AVG Free Edition 7.5 Setup program.To upgrade to 7.5 you don't uninstall the previous version.
